Envision Financial

Federal Fridays

Starting on October 15, we’ll be kicking off Federal Fridays. For six consecutive Fridays (Oct. 15-Nov. 19), our branches will be building excitement and encouraging conversation around our federal initiative. This is your opportunity to discuss with our leadership, ask questions and get more information about why this is a good thing for the future of our credit union. No registration is needed for these events— simply drop by any branch on a Friday between regular business hours.

WATCH: Let's keep a good thing growing for communities | YMCA of Okanagan

YMCA’s Young Parent program provides parents under the age of 20 with the fundamental tools they need to thrive, including quality child care, parenting education, life skills training, connections to critical resources and a supportive community. Although the partnership between Valley First, First West Foundation and the Young Parent’s program is relatively new having started in 2017, it’s easy to see the important need the program fills in the community. This is why— in 2020— we extended our support with an additional grant designated to the salary of the program’s facilitator, Larrisa. Larrisa had been working part-time, and now with full-time hours, she has the time needed to commit to the program.

Learn about this partnership and how becoming a federally regulated credit union puts us in a position to further our partnerships with organizations like YMCA of Okanagan to ensure we can meet the needs of our community partners well into the future.
